Type the Countries: Central America and the Caribbean Map Quiz

Type the Countries / Central America and the Caribbean / 20 countries

Practice the names and locations of Central America and the Caribbean by typing the highlighted countries.

The isthmus meets the islands

This set combines the seven Central American mainland countries with the sovereign Caribbean islands. The two parts of the quiz feel quite different.

Guatemala is a border question. Cuba is an island question. This set makes you switch between the two kinds constantly.

How the typing map quiz works

One country is highlighted. Type its name and move on to the next one. You get the location as a clue, but the name has to come from memory.

Typing is useful once the shapes feel familiar but some of the names still lag behind.

Tip: If you recognize the shape but the name is slow, say the name out loud or in your head before typing.

Practice the mainland and islands separately

Learn Central America from Mexico down to Colombia. Practice the Caribbean separately until the island order starts to stick.
