Type the Countries: World Map Quiz

Type the Countries / World / 200 countries

Practice the names and locations of the world by typing the highlighted countries.

One map, no warm-up

World mixes every region into one round. A huge mainland country can be followed by a tiny island on the next question, so there is no single part of the map to settle into.

One round can jump from Argentina to Kyrgyzstan to Fiji with no warning.

Why World feels different

A continent quiz lets you keep one mental map loaded. World keeps replacing it. A country that feels obvious in a Europe-only round can take an extra second when the previous question was in the Pacific.

How the typing map quiz works

One country is highlighted. Type its name and move on to the next one. You get the location as a clue, but the name has to come from memory.

Typing is useful once the shapes feel familiar but some of the names still lag behind.

Tip: If you recognize the shape but the name is slow, say the name out loud or in your head before typing.

Where World usually bites back

The hard part is the constant jump in scale. Europe can get crowded, and the Caribbean or Pacific can force a lot of zooming.

Get comfortable with the continents first

World works best after the continent quizzes feel comfortable. It is good at exposing slow switches between regions.
