Find the Country from a Point: Africa Quiz

Find the Country from a Point / Africa / 56 countries

Identify which country in this set contains each point placed on the map.

A huge map with a dense middle

Africa has more than fifty answers in this set. The coast gives you a good outline, while the interior has long runs of neighboring countries that are harder to separate.

Ghana is easy to pick out on the coast. Move inland and the shapes stop being so generous.

How the point map quiz works

A point appears somewhere on the map. Type the country that actually contains it. The round keeps going through all 56 countries.

Point mode works best on a map you already know pretty well. It exposes fuzzy boundaries quickly.

Tip: Points near borders are the nasty ones. Check which side of the border the dot is really on.

The middle is harder than the outline

West Africa gets crowded along the coast. Central and eastern Africa can be tough for the opposite reason: several large inland countries sit next to each other.

Give the interior its own practice

The coast gives the continent a useful skeleton. Once that is familiar, the landlocked countries have somewhere to sit.
