Find the Countries: Africa No-Borders Quiz

Find the Countries / Africa / 56 countries

Test your knowledge of Africa by finding each country on a map with borders hidden.

Africa without borders

Africa has more than fifty answers in this set. The coast gives you a good outline, while the interior has long runs of neighboring countries that are harder to separate.

The Mediterranean coast, the Horn, Madagascar, and South Africa are useful reference points before you work inland.

How the no-borders map quiz works

A country name appears on a map with the political borders hidden. Click where it belongs. The coastline stays, so you still have some geography to work with.

Borderless mode is a good follow-up once the normal click map has become comfortable.

Tip: Pick out a coastline, peninsula or big country you know and judge the target from there.

When the map turns blank

Ignore the whole map for a second. Find the right coast or subregion first and make the click from there.

The middle is harder than the outline

West Africa gets crowded along the coast. Central and eastern Africa can be tough for the opposite reason: several large inland countries sit next to each other.
