East Africa in Smurdy includes the Horn, the Great Lakes area, the Indian Ocean coast and nearby islands. The coast has several memorable shapes, while the inland countries are more compact.

Somalia gives the Horn a shape you can recognize immediately. The countries around the Great Lakes take more careful neighbor memory.

How the no-borders map quiz works

A country name appears on a map with the political borders hidden. Click where it belongs. The coastline stays, so you still have some geography to work with.

Borderless mode is a good follow-up once the normal click map has become comfortable.
