Type the Countries: Southern Europe Map Quiz
Practice the names and locations of Southern Europe by typing the highlighted countries.
Peninsulas, islands and microstates
Southern Europe is built around the Mediterranean-facing part of the continent: Iberia, Italy, Greece, nearby islands and the smaller states in the region.
Italy gives you an easy shape. Malta and the microstates ask for much finer map memory.
How the typing map quiz works
One country is highlighted. Type its name and move on to the next one. You get the location as a clue, but the name has to come from memory.
Typing is useful once the shapes feel familiar but some of the names still lag behind.
Tip: If you recognize the shape but the name is slow, say the name out loud or in your head before typing.
