Click the States: US States Map Quiz
Learn US States by clicking each state when its name appears.
The 50-state map
This set is the 50 US states. The western half gives you some big, obvious shapes; the Northeast and parts of the Midwest are much tighter.
California and Texas are easy reference points; the Northeast and the cluster around Missouri demand much closer reading.
The rectangle trap
Several western and central states look like plain boxes at first glance. Their neighbors and position on the wider US map are usually better clues than the outline alone.
How the subdivision click quiz works
A state name appears. Click that subdivision on the map and continue through the set.
This is the easiest subdivision mode to begin with on a new map.
Tip: One familiar state or province nearby can make the rest of the area much easier.
The middle is harder than the coasts
The center and Northeast usually cause more misses because a lot of states are similar in size or packed together.
